Studying with others, even silently, makes it easier to stay focused. A good Discord study room needs three things: a clear space, a few rules and the right background music.
Step 1
Create a “Study” category
Add a voice channel for studying together (for example “study-room”) and a text channel for questions and check-ins.
Step 2
Write three simple rules
Mics muted by default, cameras optional, questions in the text channel. Pin them in the text channel.
Step 3
Add focus music
Invite ChillBot, join the study voice channel and type /play. On Premium, switch to the Study station with /station.
Step 4
Keep the room open
With /24-7 (Premium), the radio stays in the study channel, so the room is ready whenever someone wants to work.
Step 5
Use focus sessions
Agree on a rhythm, such as 25 minutes of work and 5 minutes of break, and post the start time in the text channel.
Good to know
- Set a DJ role so the music does not change in the middle of a session.
- Add a “sleep” voice channel next to it for late-night study calls.
- Remind members they can lower the bot volume just for themselves.
Once it is set up, the room runs itself: people join, mute, and get to work with the music already playing.
